How this screen is computed

For every company the latest reported quarter is compared with the consensus EPS estimate on record for that quarter; the surprise is (actual − estimate) ÷ |estimate| × 100. A company appears here when the actual figure exceeded the estimate, and the table ranks by that percentage.

Because a tiny estimate inflates the percentage, a surprise of +300% on a $0.01 estimate ranks above a +8% beat on $2.00 — the ranking is honest arithmetic, not a measure of importance. The one-month column shows how the stock has traded since; the report period is the fiscal quarter, not the announcement day.

How to read it

A beat is one input among many. Stocks often fall after beating estimates when guidance disappoints or the beat was already expected, and rise after misses when the outlook improves — the one-month column next to the surprise makes those divergences visible.

The interactive screener adds the beat streak (how many consecutive quarters a company has beaten) and the analyst-rating change over 30 days, which together give a fuller picture than one quarter's surprise.
